Setting up a chemical barrier

Setting up a chemical barrier

Suburban Location: Springfield

Chemical Used: Termidor HE

Installation Method:

The process of setting up a chemical barrier involves saturating the soil with Termidor HE in a comprehensive manner. To access the soil around the property, there are two primary methods commonly employed.

In areas where the ground around the concrete slab is covered with soil, trenches are dug to ensure that the soil in these specific regions is thoroughly saturated. Every particle of soil in these trenches is carefully treated with Termidor HE.

For parts of the property that have tile or concrete pavement, holes are drilled at regular intervals of 40 centimetres, serving as entry points to the soil underneath. Afterward, Termidor HE is applied to the soil beneath the concrete slab or tiles using specialized nozzles and a high-pressure pumping system.

It's important to note that Termidor HE is non-repellent, which means that when termites come into contact with this treated soil, they are unaware of their exposure. Termites unintentionally carry this treated substance back to their colonies, infecting other members as they engage in mutual grooming activities. Termidor HE infiltrates the termites through their outer shells, ultimately leading to the elimination of all termites and their respective colonies.
